Simon loves the water, when time allows you will most likely find him in the Archipelago in Stockholm on a boat ride. He is also a big fan of the Mediterranean where you will find him during his vacations.
Already from a young age Simon was fascinated by technology and learned to code already at the age of eight. Together with his strong entrepreneurial drive, he started his first company six years later at the age of 14. Already within the first year of business, his company was acquired. He later worked on establishing the blog-format together with platforms for blog-hosting, before moving to Stockholm and working at Betsson were he, prior to joining Instantor, worked as Product Owner for the newly launched Mobile offering from Betsson at the time.
During summer you can find him sailing somewhere along the Adriatic coast, and in winter he will probably be snowboarding (if his knee is in a friendly mood). He has lately been getting back to mountain biking as well. A big movie-fan, eats pop-corn in huge amounts. Cannot wait for the next trip to a new travel destination. Also a big fan of virtual and augmented reality technology.
Early in his career, Robert realised that in most of the cases, technology is easy to handle, but strategy is not. Therefore his primary career interest is strategic IT management with focus on aligning business and technological strategy. Robert strives to organize the internal resources in an optimal way to support Instantor’s strategy. Robert also enjoys evaluating the business options that technology offers to reach new markets in an innovative way. Prior to joining Instantor, Robert worked for a regional IT service provider as CTO, and prior to that, he worked for two regional banks as Head of IT Division. Robert holds a Mr.Sc in Strategic IT Management from University of Zagreb and Master of Information Systems from the same university.
